Playtime, allergy time, rant time :)
For some reason, today feels like it should be St. Patrick's Day. Wednesdays and St. Patrick's Days just seem to go together. I don't know why. Same reason "Wednesday" makes me think of green. Weird. Yes. I know. Consider the source.
Have spent the past couple afternoons outside with the grandsons and I'm paying. If I just didn't breathe outside, I'd be fine. The pollen is getting thick and it goes right to my throat. I'm a baby when it comes to sore throats. Plus I go into sneezing fits, which can be a challenge for us older gals, if you catch my drift.
Today while we were outside, the little girls across the street saw Dylan and went crazy. So, he went over and played with them for awhile; then they all came over to our yard. All the while, I had Deacon. He was in the stroller for awhile, but became bored, so I took him out and held him the rest of the time. He fell fast asleep and was quite content; quite comfortable. Nana did not mind one bit. I was quite content; quite comfortable as well. Dylan had a ball and was glad to have some girls to whom he could show off.
While we were outside and the kids were playing, I had time to think about the condition of things around us. Sorry, yes. I was thinking . . . again.
Ya know? I'm not thrilled about the AIG bonuses. It hacks me off, matter of fact. However, for those who are so appalled by the audacity of the payers of said bonuses to go so far as to try to sneak an end run around the Constitution to recoup "taxpayer" money makes my blood boil!! Obama says he didn't know anything about the bonuses until last Thursday. Well, shame on him! Thought he was doing such a marvelous job as President. Guess not.
Today I read where Fannie Mae is going to be paying $611,000 to four executives??? Where's the indignation there? Freddie Mac has plans to pay bonuses, too! Amazing.
"Fannie has requested $15.2 billion in government aid, while Freddie has asked for nearly $31 billion in additional aid on top of the $13.8 billion it received last year."
Geithner doesn't seem to be doing his job very well. Do I hear a bus approaching? :)
Where is our dictator-in-chief? Oh yeah!!! He's busy setting up gigs on late-night talk shows. Gotta go garner some adoration. Feelin' a little abused by all the negativity, I'm sure.
http://www.breitbart.com/article.php?id=D970HM7O0&show_article=1 I see sex education programs in our schools is working wonders. Geez.
And finally, I got this from Michelle Malkin's blog. In regard to my rant about the disrespect our military receives from this administration, I think this comment from Michelle's page says it best.

Let's not forget the hundred and some billion laundered through AIG to bail out other investment firms who gave the Democrats campaign contributions including 62 billion to foreign banks.
ReplyDeleteAnd I see from the Michelle Malkin widget that the House has approved a 90% tax on the bonuses? Can you say illegal, unConstitutional move for which those 328 representatives should be impeached at a minimum?
