Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh, air!

What a relief it is to have our a/c back up and running. I knew I missed it; I just didn't realize just how much I missed it. It's nice to step out of the shower and still feel clean 8 hours later. It's nice not leaving damp spots on furniture when I stand up. It's wonderful being able to do a chore and leave puddles behind! How in the world did we ever do without it for so many years? I realize it's a luxury, but it's one I don't want to have to do without! I can now sympathize with folks who don't have a/c or can't afford it! We can hardly afford it ourselves and I don't look forward to the bills, but I get awfully cranky when I don't sleep well and I don't sleep well when I'm glistening puddles, know what I'm sayin'? I thank God everyday for Paul, Gail and Wesley. They're the friends who got us back up a running.

Last night I actually slept under a sheet, blanket and quilt. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh. It was wonderful!! Until the a/c was fixed, I wasn't under anything but the fans!

Now it's the phones. Don't know if it's the line or our phones. Our phones are pretty old, so it's probably them. I just tried to call our appliance repairman (for another matter) and couldn't. No dial tone. So, I called the house with my cell phone and the land line did ring. We can receive calls; just can't make any. Grrrrrrrrrrr. I hate phones anyway, but we gotta have one. Guess we'll just have to break down and buy new ones. If that doesn't fix the problem, then I'll call AT&T and get them to check the lines.

It's always something!

Time to work on supper. Takes me awhile to get into the groove. Wish I liked cooking better than I do, but I just don't. I put a roast on, so all I have to do is cook taters and a vege or two, but you'd think I had to cook for an army cuz I sure don't look forward to any of it . . . 'cept eatin' it, of course.
