Happy belated Mother's Day

I hope everyone had a good Mother's Day. It's always a bittersweet day for me. I still miss my Mom like crazy.

My thoughts were with our friend, Becky. I can't imagine how difficult a day it was for her. I had intended on spending part of the day with her on Sunday, to keep her mind occupied or to let her just talk, but I spent the day sick in bed.

I woke up feeling yucky and worsened as the day wore on. Meg's husband, Casey, had been sick since Friday (which was his birthday) and my symptoms were the same as his. Later in the day on Sunday, Meg got sick, too. So, it wasn't a really fun day for any of us, but still not as bad as it must have been for Becky. I was glad to hear that her step-son and his wife spent the day with her and that she wasn't alone (her husband had to work).

I'm fine today as are Meg and Casey. It's no fun being sick and I'm happy to feel good again. It feels good to feel good.

Anyway, there are many mothers that I wish to honor -- too many to mention by name, but many that are dear to my heart. I hope you know who you are. I love you dearly and hope I have you around for years to come.

Needing more prayers

My beautiful niece was in a car accident last night along with her boyfriend. Both were badly hurt and are in need of your prayers. I just talked with Alonna. They are getting ready to take her into surgery to repair the damage done to her face. One side was pretty messed up. Sounds like she's in for some extensive surgery. I didn't ask her how her boyfriend is doing, but it sounds like he got hurt even worse than did she but is expected to be okay. Alonna is my baby brother's only child. Please pray for a speedy recovery for both kids. I'll let you know how they progress. Thank you so much.
